About
Behind the chair.
Anita Storjak has been hairdressing since 2000. She trained at Charlie Frizerski Salon and opened Two Stars in 2020.
The work she takes most of is colour (balayage, colour correction and vivid work), alongside cutting and occasion styling for weddings, debs and communions.
Every colour appointment starts with a consultation. That is a proper chat about what your hair will actually do, not just what the photo on your phone shows. It happens every time, not just on the first visit.
A patch test is required before any colour service. There are no exceptions to that one, and the reason is simple: a reaction to colour is not something anybody wants to find out about in the chair.

Colour services need a patch test at least 48 hours before the appointment. Ring or email and we’ll sort it. It takes a couple of minutes.
Prices are set out on the notice at the salon door. Ring or email for a quote on anything you’re unsure about; colour in particular depends on what your hair is starting from.
If you’ve had colour done elsewhere, or you’re working from a reference photo, send it on ahead. It saves everyone time.

Privacy notice

This notice explains what happens to your personal data when you use this website, and when you contact the salon. It is written to be accurate rather than exhaustive: if something isn’t described below, we don’t do it.
Who is responsible

We are not required to appoint a Data Protection Officer and we have not appointed one. Contact us at the details above about anything in this notice.
What this website does not do
- There is no contact form, no booking system and no mailing list. The site cannot take any information from you.
- There are no analytics or advertising scripts and no tracking of any kind: no Google Analytics, no Meta Pixel, no heatmaps, no A/B testing.
- This website sets no cookies of its own.
- The video is hosted here too, not embedded from Facebook or a video platform.
- Fonts, images, styles and scripts are all served from this website itself, through our host. Nothing is pulled in from any other company’s servers.
- We do not sell, rent or share personal data with anyone for marketing.
Hosting and server logs
Like any website, the service that delivers these pages records basic details of each visit: your IP address, the date and time, the page or file requested, the response code, and your browser’s user-agent string.
- Why: to keep the site online and secure, to diagnose faults, and for the overall visit counts (such as visits per day) that our host works out from this data automatically.
- Legal basis: our legitimate interests in operating and protecting the website (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
- Who handles it: our host, Cloudflare, Inc. (101 Townsend Street, San Francisco, California, USA), which stores the website, delivers it to you and protects it from attacks. Cloudflare acts as our processor under its data processing addendum and handles this data mainly in the United States and the European Economic Area.
- How long: Cloudflare keeps this data only for as long as it needs it to deliver and protect the website, and does not publish a fixed number of days. We do not use it to identify visitors; we would only look at it to fix a fault or deal with a security problem.
The video on this page
The video is stored on this website and served from the same place as everything else on the page. Playing it contacts nobody but Cloudflare, which hosts this website. Facebook, Meta, YouTube and every other third party are simply not involved. Nothing is requested from them, nothing is sent to them, and no cookie or identifier of theirs can reach your device through this site.
The video file only starts downloading when you scroll near it. Until then your browser has fetched just a still image from it. If your device is set to reduce motion, it does not play by itself and waits until you press play.
Links that leave this site
Buttons that start a phone call or an email hand over to your own phone or mail app; nothing is sent to us until you actually send it. The Facebook and Google Maps links open those services in a new tab, where their own privacy policies apply. Following a link is your choice and nothing is transmitted until you make it.
When you contact the salon
If you ring, email or message us on Facebook, we process what you give us: typically your name, your phone number or email address, and whatever you tell us about your hair and the appointment you want.
- Why: to answer you, arrange an appointment and keep a record of what was done, so the next appointment goes well.
- Legal basis: taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, and performing that contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR).
- How long: enquiries that don’t lead to an appointment are deleted within 12 months. Client records are kept for 3 years after your last visit, then deleted. That is long enough that your colour history is still there if you come back, short enough that we are not sitting on notes about people who have moved on.
- Sensitive details: if you tell us about a scalp condition, an allergy, a medication or a pregnancy so that we can treat your hair safely, that is health data. We record only what we need for the service to be safe, we keep it with the rest of your client record, and we rely on your explicit consent (Article 9(2)(a) GDPR). You can withdraw that consent, though it may mean we can’t carry out some colour services.
Emails to info@twostars.ie are delivered and stored by Google, which provides the salon’s email service (Google Workspace) and acts as our processor.
Messages sent through Facebook sit on Meta’s systems as well as ours, under Meta’s terms. If you would rather not use Meta, ring or email instead.
Photographs
The photographs on this website were taken in the salon and are published with the client’s permission, given freely and on the understanding that they would appear online. If you are in one of them and you would like it taken down, email us and it will be removed. You do not have to give a reason.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to:
- ask what personal data we hold about you and get a copy of it (access);
- have inaccurate data corrected (rectification);
- have data deleted where there is no good reason for us to keep it (erasure);
- ask us to restrict how we use it while a question about it is resolved (restriction);
- object to processing we carry out on the basis of legitimate interests;
- receive data you gave us in a portable, machine-readable form (portability);
- withdraw consent at any time, where we rely on consent (this does not affect anything done before you withdrew it).
We do not use automated decision-making or profiling. Cloudflare, which hosts the website, and Google, which provides our email, may process personal data in the United States. Those transfers are covered by the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses, and Cloudflare is also certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.

Cookie notice

The short version: this website sets no cookies and stores no identifiers on your device. It loads nothing from any other company, at any point, including the video.
Why there is no cookie banner
Irish law (regulation 5 of S.I. 336/2011, which gives effect to the ePrivacy Directive) requires your consent before a website stores information on your device or reads information already stored there. That covers cookies, but also local storage, pixels and device fingerprinting.
This site does none of those things when it loads. The Data Protection Commission’s own guidance is that a site using only storage that doesn’t need consent “may not need any banner or consent management tool”, but should still say plainly what it does. That is what this page is for. A banner asking you to accept cookies that don’t exist would be theatre, and clicking it would tell you nothing true.
There is no point at which consent becomes necessary either, because there is no third-party content anywhere on the site. The video is hosted here rather than embedded from Facebook, which is what removes the last place a consent question could have arisen.
What is stored on your device
Nothing. Not a cookie, not a local-storage entry, not a session value, not an identifier of any kind. There is no table to print here because the list is empty.
Two things your browser does on its own, as it does for any website: it keeps an ordinary cached copy of the page, photos and video so they load faster next time, and it remembers to use a secure (https) connection for this site. Neither identifies you, neither is shared with anyone, and clearing your browsing data removes both.
This is unusual enough to be worth spelling out. Most websites that say they “only use essential cookies” still write something to your device. This one writes no cookies at all, because it never needed to: there is no login, no basket, no form, no preference to remember and no third-party player to negotiate with.
One exception you are unlikely to meet. Cloudflare, which hosts and protects this website, can occasionally put a short security check in front of a connection it thinks may be automated. The website never asks for these checks and most visitors never see one. If you do pass one, Cloudflare places a cookie called cf_clearance so it does not check you again straight away. It records that the check was passed, not who you are. It is strictly necessary for security, so it does not need consent, and it is used for nothing else.
Nothing to change your mind about
The Privacy choices button in the footer of every page shows you the current position at any time. Because no cookies or identifiers are ever stored, there is nothing to withdraw and no setting to reset, but the button is there so the position is always one click away. If you want to confirm it yourself, your browser’s site settings (usually the padlock or site icon next to the address) list the cookies and site data a website has stored, and for this site that list is empty.
Clearing site data in your browser is always available to you and will find nothing belonging to this site.
No tracking, stated plainly
There is no analytics script on this site, no advertising tag, no Meta Pixel, no Google tag, no session recording and no fingerprinting. Fonts, stylesheets, scripts, images and the video are all served from this site’s own domain rather than from an outside CDN or a video platform, so apart from Cloudflare, which hosts the site, no other company is told that you were here. Nobody, including the salon, can see which pages you looked at beyond the basic visit records our host keeps, which are described in the privacy notice.
